Say what! Kartik Aaryan to play a cricketer in Gunjan Saxena director Sharan Sharma’s next?

Post the success of films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luka Chuppi and Pati Patni Aur Woh, Kartik Aaryan has become one of the most bankable names of the entertainment industry. While the actor is currently busy with multiple projects, the latest reports suggest that the handsome hunk is set to collaborate with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions to star in Gunjan Saxena director Sharan Sharma's next, where he will portray the character of a cricketer. The actor and director had multiple meetings in the last few months and are set to team up for this venture.

Reportedly, the film is not a biopic but a fictional tale, which will show the journey of a cricketer and will be filled with feel-good and emotional moments. The actor is soon expected to start the prep for his role and take coaching lessons once he signs the film officially. The reports also suggest that the makers have approached an A-list actress for the female and she has shown interest in the project.

Meanwhile Kartik Aaryan will be next seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu in key roles. The film is directed by Anees Bazmee, who is known helming projects like Welcome, Ready, No Entry, Mubarakan, No Entry, No Problem, Singh Is Kinng, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha and many others. As per the reports, two popular songs from the original film, Hare Ram Hare Ram and Aami Je Tomar has been recreated in the film. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, under the banner of T-Series, along with Murad Khetani and is expected to hit the screens this year.
