Ranveer Singh charges Rs 50 crore for Rohit Shetty's Cirkus? Here's what we know

The live-wire of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh has become one of the most bankable stars with his previous ventures like Gully Boy, Simmba and Padmaavat earning big bucks at the box office. The actor is currently shooting for Rohit Shetty's Cirkus, which is the adaptation of William Shakespeare's play, The Comedy Of Errors. While the shooting of the film is taking place at a brisk pace, the latest reports suggest that the Befikre actor has hiked his fee and charged Rs 50 crore for this project.

As per the Bollywood Hungama report, a trade source said, "Ranveer Singh has become one of the most bankable names in today's time and his market value is on the rise with every passing film. For Cirkus, he has charged an acting fee of Rs. 50 crores, and he is expected to hike his fees with the success of every passing film." The source further added, "The film is being shot at a brisk pace in Mumbai and is being readied for a Winter 2021 opening. The idea is to wrap up the entire film by March and then move on to the post production, since it's a period film set in the 60s and almost the entire film is being shot in studio." Cirkus also features Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandes and Varun Sharma in key roles. The film is expected to hit the screens in winter this year.

Meanwhile Ranveer Singh will be next seen in '83. 'The film showcases the journey of Indian cricket team's heroic win in the 1983 World Cup. It was scheduled to hit screens on April 10, has been pushed ahead due to the coronavirus pandemic. It stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar and others in pivotal roles. So, are you excited for this project?
