Here is good news for fans of Chiyaan Vikram. He will start shoot on his project with son, Dhruv Vikram today. The movie, a gangster drama is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj. There was immense excitement for this movie for a long time. The big development is that Santosh Narayanan has been roped in place of Anirudh Ravichander. There are no reasons given on why the latter was replaced by the makers. The movie might come out at the end of 2021 or next year. This is what the filmmaker tweeted...

Dhruv Vikram has done the Tamil remake of Vijay Deverakonda's Arjun Reddy as his debut film. Earlier, Karthik Subbaraj told India Today how he went to Chiyaan Vikram with the script. He told the media outlet, "I was actually busy with the post-production work of Jagamae Thanthiram. That's when Vikram sir called me and asked if I could drop in to discuss a new project. He is an extraordinary performer and I always wanted to work with him. We met, discussed a lot of ideas and finally zeroed in on one. He was quite impressed with the plot and that's how Dhruv Vikram came on board. It all happened all of a sudden and I am quite happy about it."
Chiyaan Vikram has also finished his first schedule of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyun Selvan. Plus, he has Cobra lined-up for release. Karthik Subbaraj's film Jagame Thandiram is coming on Netflix.
