Valimai has been in the news ever since the inception of the film. After all, it stars the dashing Thala Ajith in the lead. The action-thriller film is being directed by H Vinoth and is being produced by Boney Kapoor. The significant portions of Valimai have been completed with just one schedule remaining. The same will kick off this month and the team plans to shoot for a daredevil action sequence on a bike with Ajith Kumar in Spain. However, the country is currently in a lockdown phase since the pandemic had hit the country badly last year. And now a source close to the development of the film, the crew and Thala Ajith are waiting for Spain to unlock so as to shoot for the action scene. "While major chunk of Valimai is ready, Spain is currently under lockdown and the team is now awaiting the Spanish government to announce unlock provisions. They will chalk out the Spain schedule once the unlock provisions are announced and the cases in Spain are under control," the source told Pinkvilla.
"They need to shoot for around 5 days in Spain. It's a special bike-based action scene to be shot under the supervision of experts from Spain, which is the reason of flying abroad. It's among the most unique bike scenes of the film, and Thala Ajith, being a biker himself, wanted it to look as authentic as possible," the source added when asked about the deets of the shoot.
Talking about Valimai, as per the report, Thala Ajith plays a cop on the run throughout the country. The entire film is based in India and the sequence shot in Spain would be in sync with the Indian portion, the report reads. It is being said that the makers of Valimai are planning for an August 2021 release. Thala Ajith's look has been kept under the wraps alongside other details of the film. As per the reports, the makers want it to be a real surprise for his fans and are hence planning to release Ajith's look after Valimai's shoot is completed. "While the entire film has been kept under wraps, the team will unveil Ajith's look as also a teaser, only once the film is wrapped up," the source added before signing off.
