There have been rumours that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Karan Mehra and wife, Nisha Rawal are facing trouble in their marital life. It was being said that the couple was trying to sort their differences out. Karan has been busy shooting his upcoming Punjabi projects while Nisha is currently in Mumbai with her 4-year-old son Kavish. It was being said that the two are not being able to spend quality time together and this has apparently widened the gap between them. However, Nisha has rubbished the reports and told TOI that they are 'not true.' Now, Karan Mehra has shared his side of the story. He revealed how he had to struggle while he was shooting. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Karan Mehra shared that last two weeks have been stressful for him.
He was shooting in Punjab, felt body ache and with a bit of exertion he felt tired. Sensing it could be Covid, he got tested which turned out negative but the symptoms persisted. He later returned to Mumbai and got tested again but the next three tests were negative. He also revealed that it was funny at one point, as just when he was beginning to feel better, he tested positive. Karan Mehra shared that it was a tough time and he is recovering now. Karan Mehra not only faced health issues but was also mentally disturbed as he lost many of his near and dear ones. He said, "I also lost close relatives recently, including an uncle and an aunt, my school principal, some faculty members, which has really affected me. Few of my fans lost their parents too. People my age are dying, some even younger. It's so sad to see how difficult the situation is. It was disheartening to see how tough it is for everyone. Such news depresses you a lot and affects you. Thankfully, I didn't have to be hospitalised but there is a lot of anxiety regarding Covid."
Inspite of all this, we also had to speak to the media about the rumours of trouble in his marital life. He wrote, "Imagine, I am unwell, and in mourning and I had to exert myself and talk to the media! It was crazy. I was not in the frame of mind but had to set things straight. Nisha has been taking care of me through Covid."
