The makers of Bell Bottom have finalised the release date of the film. It is going to release on May 28, 2021. Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor are the main stars of this espionage thriller, which is going to come in theatres this summer. Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi also form a crucial part of the cast. The team of Bell Bottom left for the UK in September just as the lockdown was slowly lifted in India. The film has been shot in Scotland. This is the first time that Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor are teaming up for a film. It is being directed by Ranjit M Tewari.
Now, Bell Bottom will be clashing with three big Hollywood films. We have Cruella, Fast & Furious 9 and Infinite. While we cannot say about Cruella and Infinite, the F9 film is being awaited by fans of the franchise since a year now. The epic trailer of the film has blown away the audience. Vin Diesel said in an interview to Entertainment Weekly, " I want to get the movie out for all of the great fans who have been waiting for this chapter and yet look at the world that we live in. I can only say that when you see the movie you will be excited and, hopefully, you will be really, really happy."
Akshay Kumar in a statement said, "The new normal has made us realise a different way of working that none of us could have imagined. As much as I'm happy to be back on the sets, it's also important for us to take care of everything around us. Pooja Entertainment has laid down a safety plan for our shooting schedule abroad. We hope these measures help us accomplish a smooth and safe shoot." Film critics and pandits have hailed the decision of makers to release films in theatres. We hope that business bounces back in a strong manner.
