The young superstar of the entertainment industry Alia Bhatt is currently busy with biggies like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Brahmastra, RRR and Darlings. While the actress is expected to dominate this year and 2022 with her performances in these ventures, we have the latest developments about these projects. So, let's begin. Starting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, the teaser of this film received thunderous response from the audience but recently it garnered controversy as the residents of Kamathipura accused the filmmaker of defaming their region. Now, the film has again grabbed the headlines because of its title as Maharashtra Congress MLA Amin Patel raised his objection and said, "Women there are excelling in different professions. The film's title also maligns the name of Kathiawad city. The name of the film should be changed." Gangubai Kathiawadi also features Ajay Devgn in a key role and will hit the screens on July 30.
Talking about RRR, which is directed by Baahubali helmer, the film is in the production stage and the makers have erected a huge set, where a song will be picturised on Alia and Ram Charan over the weekend. The film also stars Jr NTR, Olive Morris, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Chatrapathi Sekhar, Shriya Saran, Spandana Chaturvedi, Varun Buddhadev and others in pivotal roles. It will hit the screens on October 13.
Speaking about Brahmastra, the film has been in the news from 2-3 years and while we are waiting for this action-adventure fantasy film to hit the screens, we have come to know that the makers will announce the release date of the film on Alia Bhatt's birthday, which is on March 15. "The makers of Brahmastra have wrapped up shooting the remaining portions of the film. They are currently in the editing phase and have finalised the film's release date. A special announcement is on its way which will happen on Alia's birthday. Though the movie majorly rides on Ranbir's shoulders, but he is happy about the major annoucement being made on his girlfriend's birthday. The two have been dating for more than two years now and there's no space for insecurities between them," said the source. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film features Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
And last but definitely not the least, we are talking about Darlings, which is Alia Bhatt's first film as a producer, will mark the reunion of composer Vishal Bhardwaj and lyricist Gulzar. The film is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan and is directed by Jasmeet K. Reen.
