Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh pour their heart out as Padmaavat completes 3 years of its release

Three years ago on 25th January 2018, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer Padmaavat had released in the theatres. Watching a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film is always an extravagant feeling. The sheer magnificence and scale of the film still baffle one and all. And it's been three years already. Time does fly, it seems. Anyway, two of the three leads, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone took to their Instagram handle and shared heartwarming posts as Padmaavat completed three years of its release yesterday.

Deepika Padukone shared a BTS video from the sets as a tribute to the maker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the film. In the video, we see the Bajirao Mastani actress turning emotional and thanking everyone on the sets and heaping praises about the film and the director. "3 Years of Padmaavat. Some memories & experiences are difficult to articulate but live in your heart forever. Padmaavat was one such experience. Thank you Sanjay Leela Bhansali for entrusting me with this movie & character of a lifetime..." Deepika captioned the post. Check it out below:

Ranveer Singh too shared a BTS video. It contains videos from his film wrap and even some BTS while shooting Padmaavat. Ranveer played the antagonist in the film and it's the finest performance by Ranveer amongst many. The videos saw Ranveer talking about the efforts, blood, sweat and tears that everyone put through to make this film what it is and also added that it was a wonderful feeling on completing the film. Talking about Padmaavat, Shahid Kapoor played Raja Ratan Singh to Deepika Padukone's Rani Padmaavati. Anupriya Goenka played Shahid Kapoor's first wife, Rani Nagmati and Aditi Rao Hydari played Khilji's first wife, Mehrunisa. Jim Sarbh played the role of Malik Kafur. Padmaavat made a business of Rs 300 crore at the domestic box office and swept away numerous awards too.
