Can you believe that we spent about three quarters of 2020 at home? So much has happened this year that we would just like to forget it. And like every other year in the last few years, the songs in Bollywood have been deteriorating in terms of LYRICS, quality and basically, they are such killjoys that you wished you never heard. It may sound harsh, but hey, a reality check, they don't make many evergreen songs anymore.
Bhankas (Baaghi 3)

Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff starrer Baaghi 3 had this remake song, Bhankas which was crappy. It sounded forced because the EDM beats that were added into the song looked like they just wanted to make it appealing to the youth just because the gen-y are into EDM. While the moves were groovy, it looked forced.
Dus Bahane 2.0 (Baaghi 3)
The original composer duo, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, recreated Dus Bahane 2.0. But it was nowhere to what the original number was. Even the composers agreed to it. It was all glamorising of the leads and nothing more.
Garmi (Street Dancer 3D)
Garmi was such a dud. Why was the song really made? It's so cringey. It sounds like beats added into someone's hue-cry over hot weather but it's not (wrong weather).
Lamborghini 2.0 (Jai Mummy Di)
The original is such a better song. It's groovy and it's a fun Punjabi number. But the Hindi version sounds boring. There's no rhythm which the original has.
Teri Meri Meri Kahani (Happy Hardy Aur Heer)
Sorry to say but the goodwill of Himesh Reshammiya fell upon his head. When Renu Mondal begins, you shut it though Himesh's vocals are pretty amazing in it. But if you shut it before even getting to Himesh's part, there's no point, right?
Cutie Pie (Happy Hardy Aur Heer)
'Tum na mile to, I will die, cutie pie, cutie pie.' Yeah, that's the lyrics. They really put so much thought into writing lyrics these days I tell you.
Kangna Vilayti (Virgin Bhanupriya)
You may have heard of Laung Gawacha? Add some Kangna Vilayti into it and boom, you think you have a new song. Plus forcefully add EDM into it because how else would you attract the youth? Sorry, Urvashi, you are quite talented but the character did not suit you.

The song sounds like it's put into the movie because they couldn't describe her character which BTW is poorly written.
Duniya Sharma Jayegi (Khaali Peeli)
It was Beyonc Sharma Jayegi earlier. They changed it because of patent reasons and the controversy over racism which the makers denied intending to do so. It has a mixture of a couple of dance styles, but even that couldn't make this song happening.
Sawan mein lag gayi aag (Ginny weds Sunny)
Mika Singh brought two versions of his original this year. Two very different ones. Talking about Yami Gautam, Vikrant Massey, Badshah and Neha Kakkar's version, it's discordant. It kills the feel of the original and sounds slow. Basically, the energy just doesn't add up.
Maata Ka Jaagrata (Laxmii)
Two questions: Why ruin Apna Time Aayega? And why create such a number for Mata ka jagrata in the first place? We know such kinds of songs have been in vogue these days but it's oh-so-bad that we cannot even use a cuss word here. You know, mata ka jagrata hai.
Teri Bhabhi (Coolie No 1)
In this song, Varun Dhawan asks an invisible being to move aside because he wants to flirt with his ladylove, Sara Ali Khan. That's the whole context of the song.
Apart from these, there are several other songs that were a hit despite being crappy.
