Megastar Salman Khan and filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar are collaborating for the first time as actor-director jodi for Antim, which is the remake of Marathi film Mulshi Pattern. While the makers have planned each and everything about the film before starting the film from November 15, Mahesh and Salman have stuck between the character finalisation of the Radhe Star. While considering the remake, Mahesh wants Salman Khan to play the Maharashtrian cop, on the other hand, the actor is insisted that he should play a Punjabi police officer as it will give a pan-India appeal to the film.
As per the Mid-Day report. a trade source said, "However, Salman wants to play a Punjabi police officer. He believes it will lend pan-India appeal to the film. Over the past few days, Salman and Mahesh have been brainstorming about his character. It has finally been decided that the actor will conduct a look test this weekend, during which he will flaunt a Maharashtrian avatar and a north Indian get-up, and accordingly zero in on his final look."
The film will feature Salman Khan's brother-in-law Aayush Sharma as a dreaded gangster. . "The mahurat will happen at Mehboob Studios on Diwali, followed by a two-month schedule at ND Studios in Karjat. Salman will play a no-nonsense cop. Styled by Ashley Rebello and sister Alvira Agnihotri, the actor is likely to sport a French beard," added the source. Talking about the film, helmer Mahesh Manjrekar said, "We plan to start shoot in the next 15 days. Salman and Aayush will have never-seen-before looks in the movie."
