Rhea Chakraborty is currently in the Byculla Women's Prison. She had spent the night at the Narcotics Control Bureau headquarters with a team of officers. Today morning she was sent to this prison in Byculla. She got arrested yesterday after three days of intense grilling. As per India Today, she was brought to the prison by 10.30 am today. It is also the same place where Indrani Mukerjea has been housed. She is undergoing trial for the alleged murder of her daughter, Sheena Bora. As we know, Indrani Mukerjea was arrested in 2015 for the alleged planned murder of Sheena Bora. It seems the lady is quite popular in the prison and meets every new inmate who are sent there by the cops. In 2017, she had led a huge protest inside the jail after the death of Manjula Shete. The prison houses around 250 convicts and under trials. There is a likelihood that Rhea Chakraborty might get bail tomorrow.
Sources told India Today that Rhea Chakraborty was kept in a general barrack in the morning. After a medical examination in the afternoon, she was allowed to rest. It seems her essentials were given to her in a small bag. It had some clothes, dental kit and other items. There are yet to decide in which barrack will they keep her for the night. Tomorrow, her bail plea will be heard in the Sessions Court. Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda and Zaid Vilatra are also in judicial custody. It seems Rhea will be kept in a different barrack from Indrani Mukerjea.
Sushant Singh Rajput's family has said again and again that they are not interested in this NCB case. Their focus is on the abetment to suicide angle and missing Rs 15 crores. The actress has said that she was procuring weed for the late actor.
