Mohit Raina who is a Kashmiri Pandit celebrates Mahashivratri as Herath Mubarak. Actually, Herath is celebrated a night before the actual Mahashivratri day. Lord Shiva is known as Hara. We can see that he has offered fish as offering to God, which is quite common in Kashmiri Herath.

Actress Mouni Roy also wished fans with a series of images of Lord Shiva from the Isha Yoga centre of Sadhguru Vasudev. In her post, she wrote the Maha Mritunjay mantra. She had played the role of Sati on the show, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev. It is one of Mouni Roy's best works so far.

Sonarika Bhadoria who was Parvati on the show also wished fans on this auspicious occasion.

The show enjoyed a cult following in India. Mohit Raina made Lord Shiva look so desirable on screen. He told Hindustan Times, "It surely is. Well, I guess people people are looking at me in a way they've never looked at screen gods before... The kind of attention I get is way beyond my comprehension. I know they're reacting to Shiva Bhagwan and not to Mohit Raina. But still the attention is disconcerting...People love me. I couldn't ask for more."
