June 1 marks R Madhavan's birthday. While of course all of his fans are super excited for the same, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein actor has revealed his birthday plans on Twitter. He took to social media to share that he'll be having a quiet birthday this time with his close ones. Given the pandemic and the grim state of affair in India due to Coronavirus, Madhavan wrote that he cannot imagine celebrating anything, let alone his birthday.
Two days prior to his birthday, he made a tweet that read, "Hello my lovely Tweeple. Thank you for all the love from the bottom of my heart. Considering all that is happened & happening around us, I cannot imagine celebrating anything let alone my Birthday. I want to keep it very quiet and spend the day with my close ones." As Madhavan made this tweet, all his fans started wishing him in advance. Quite a few also lauded his decision to not hold any party amidst the pandemic. A celebrity's birthday is always a special affair but this decision of Maddy has made us fall in love with him even more.

Workwise, R Madhavan has his ambitious directorial project in pipeline. He is marking his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film is inspired from scientist and aerospace engineer S Nambi Narayanan who is a Padma Bhushan awardee. Madhavan is not just directing the project, he is also essaying the lead role. The film is going to release in several languages including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, English and Kannada. A few months ago, he had shared his first look, a picture with beard looking like Nambi Narayanan and had received applause from all corners. The film is expected to release this year, however, the official date is yet to be announced.
