Kartik Aaryan's stars do not seem to be aligned favourably, at least, as far as his professional life goes. The handsome hunk has apparently lost on one more film. Yes, reports are doing the rounds that he is out of Aanand L Rai's movie after Dostana 2 and Goodbye Freddie. Some months back, Kartik Aaryan was seen outside the office of Aanand L Rai. People thought they were going to team up for a film. It seems the said film was in a gangster genre and his assistant was to direct it. As we know, Kartik Aaryan is apparently out of Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies movie already.
A source told Hindustan Times that Kartik Aaryan was in advanced-level talks with Aanand L Rai, and had read the script too. However, things fell apart before the contract could be signed. The source further told the paper, "The fact that Karan dropped Kartik seems to have influenced others. So, this could be the third instance where Kartik may be losing out on getting to work with an established filmmaker like Aanand." It seems he lost the two films as he demanded changes in the script after agreeing the first time round. Karan Johar's team was requesting him for dates for a long time, but the actor did not help them out. Then, they decided to replace him. Dharma Productions has apparently incurred losses to the tune of Rs 20 crore.
Aanand L Rai denies dropping Kartik Aaryan from the film. He says that he has a number of scripts and has been pitching them to various actors. He says this does not mean that someone has bagged a movie. He told Hindustan Times, "Actors keep meeting you, you keep telling them what you are working on, they express their desire to collaborate. And then, depending upon the subject, you decide if you should approach them. But that doesn't mean you have signed them."
