Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone wedding in November 2018 at Italy's Lake Como was an intimate but dreamy affair. While the couple looked super happy on their special day, there was also a no-phone policy at their Italian wedding. And now the Piku actress has revealed the reason behind that as the couple wanted the guests to enjoy the special moment instead of capturing with their phones. DP told Filmfare, "Privacy was secondary. The reason we asked our guests not to have cell phones was because we wanted them to be present in the moment. Usually, everyone is on their cell phones, capturing the moment."
She added, "These moments should be in your mind and heart as they're never going to come back. Every single guest, I kid you not, is so thankful. People who've never danced in their lives were on the dance floor. People who've never tasted alcohol were tasting wine. That's how free people were"
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone will soon start the shooting of The Intern remake with Amitabh Bachchan. Talking about the film, Deepika Padukone had earlier said, "The Intern is an intimate, relationship-driven film, set in and around the workplace; a story that I believe is very relevant to the present-day social and cultural environment. I have been looking for a light, breezy comedy-drama and this story fits in seamlessly. I cannot wait to begin this journey." On the other hand, Denzil Dias, Managing Director Warner Bros. India had added, "This is an exciting time for us to be partnering in local language production with the team at AZURE, who are passionate about film and storytelling. THE INTERN has been at the top of our list for potential adaptations and this is an enviable talent packaging for the adaptation."
