Veteran Tamil actor and comedian Vivek, who is known for his performances in films like Sivaji, Kushi, Minnale, Alaipayuthey, Mugavaree, Dum Dum Dum, Anniyan and many others, passed away this morning at 4: 35 am due to cardiac arrest. He was 59. The ace comedian, who acted in more than 200 films, was admitted to SIMS hospital in Chennai on Friday after he complained discomfort. On that day itself, he underwent an angioplasty and stenting procedure. Soon after this, his health deteriorated and he passed away today morning. Many celebs from south including Nivin Pauly, Prakash Raj, Devi Sri Prasad and others, expressed their grief on social media.

Vivek was last seen in Harsih Kalyan's Dharala Prabhu, which was the Tamil remake of Ayushmann Khurrana's Vicky Donor. It was directed by Krishna Marimuthu.
