Kumkum Bhagya's Pooja Banerjee is disheartened as shoots of films and TV come to a halt

Coronavirus is spreading and Maharashtra has finally announced lockdown. With this, the shoots of films and television serials have been halted. The restrictions issued by the state government are strict and have come into action from today April 14, 8 PM. Kumkum Bhagya actress Pooja Banerjee is not happy shoots of films, television and advertisements coming to halt. The actress is worried about the daily wage workers who are dependent on the entertainment industry. In an interview with ETimes, Pooja Banerjee said that it's disheartening that shooting for films and serials have come to a halt. She said that she knows that the shoots have been halted to break the chain of transmission of COVID-19 and that she totally support the government's decision knowing fully that this decision has been taken for the health and safety of the citizens of Maharashtra but we also need to take care of our finances and people who are dependent upon us.

She also said that there are several daily wage earners who are dependent on the Entertainment Industry. Many of these daily wage earners will lose their livelihood and the Entertainment industry will surely face a loss. She also informed that the producers and makers are trying to shift the shoot locations and continue but things are still uncertain. She also spoke about Kumkum Bhagya's fresh episodes. She said that sure they might have a few episodes in the bank, but there won't be so many to last 14/15 days. She assured that the producers will come up with some solution but everyone needs to be patient, positive and take care of others and themselves.

She also spoke about the daily wage workers. She said, "We've seen a lot of positive cases amongst actors and crew members too. So, I understand the logic behind halting the shoots as well. However, while thinking about the daily wage earners, I feel we should find some solution and continue shooting in some other location maybe, if that is possible. If not, I would be open to even taking up something else outside Mumbai also, if I get something."
