It's been three weeks since Nachiket Lele was eliminated from Indian Idol 12. Last week, it was being said that Anjali Gaikwad and Sawai Bhatt were in the danger zone according to various voting trends. However, Sawai's recent wish to quit the show citing personal problems had shocked the Indian Idol 12 judges. But it seems like Himesh Reshammiya has finally convinced Sawai to stay back on the show.
In a video shared by the makers of the singing reality show, Sawai had expressed to leave the show to be with his ailing mother who has not been keeping well for the past 3-4 months. Sawai told the judges that he doesn't think he could be able to go any further on the show. Fortunately, the channel has managed to change Sawai's mind assuring him that his parents can come and stay with him which will allow him to continue his Indian Idol 12 journey.
"I had to convince Sawai to stay back. The channel has assured him that his parents can come to Mumbai and stay with him. This way, he can be with them as well as continue with his singing journey in the show," Himesh Reshammiya told TOI.
"Sawai has been singing consistently well on the show. He has the potential to be the next Indian Idol. With his raw talent and right songs, he can achieve a lot in his career. Sawai belongs to a small town of Rajasthan and that itself is a great inspiration for talents like him in small towns and villages to come forward and participate in music reality shows," he added.
Himesh also said that he plans to record a song with Sawai soon adding that he has already recorded songs with Pawandeep Rajan, Nihal Tauro and Mohammad Danish. He said that he plans to launch them by giving them a platform since he has done it for people in the past and continue doing it in future as well.
The mystery behind Indian Idol 12 elimination continues to keep fans guessing who will be evicted from the singing reality show this week. Currently, there are top 9 contestants including Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Sayli Kamble, Sawai Bhatt, Mohammad Danish, Ashish Kulkarni, Shanmukhapriya, Nihal Tauro and Anjali Gaikwad performing on the show. As we have stepped into another weekend of Indian Idol 12, fans are having a tough time wondering about this week's elimination.
It remains to be seen if the elimination process will take place in today's episode of Indian Idol 12.
