While the popularity has given the band success across the world, it has affected their privacy as the members revealed the negative side of this fame. One of the band members Jungkook, who recently got the title of the 'Sexiest Man Alive' told People magazine that he always feels pressured of being popular and asserted, "I realized that I should think twice before I do anything, and not forget where I am, no matter what situation I may be in. The pressure [of being perfect] is always there." On the other hand, another member Suga revealed that the lack of privacy has affected him deeply in BTS' 2020 docu-series, Break the Silence, in which he said, "I'm really jealous of people who can go out to eat, travel, go to the movies with friends, and things like that. Those things are really special to me because I find them hard to do."
In the current situation, it is extremely difficult for the band members to go out and do whatever they want. So, they came up with a solution, which somehow helped them to live a normal to some extent. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, group leader RM shared that since they (band members) are "seven boys with dyed hair" which easily catches the attention of the fans, they often leave in small groups from their accommodation and avoid going out together. If they want to catch any movie, the members go for the earliest of the last show of the day as there are chances of being less people around that time. The musical group prefers to shop online and avoid going any physical stores.
