"We did, we did, how did they know? We did think about it. I asked Ajay (Devgn) also, I said, 'Please, at least, give a passing shot at the end, but he refused, he's very bad (jokingly), very boring he is. We thought about it, we even spoke about it, I said, 'It'd be so cool if he comes and give a shot or something, let's call him for one shot, but he told, 'No,' he refused us (again, in jest)," said Kajol when we played the #BLAsks (fan questions) with the star, with one of them being if she and writer-director Renuka Shahane had thought of adding Ajay Devgn to Tribhanga for a cameo if nothing else. "But Anu (Kajol's character) would have to change her opinion about relationships," quickly contributed Renuka Shahane, to which Kajol added, "Yeah, exactly, I wouldn't have that opinion (her character in the movie shares a slightly cynical view owing to past experiences) about a man like that then," concluded Kajol.
In this exclusive, fun, fan-question segment with Kajol and Renuka Shahane for BollywoodLife, the lead star and primary creative driving force respectively behind Netflix's superlative Tribhanga, the duo reveal how both tried everything to get producer and Kajol's superstar husband, Ajay Devgn, at least for a special appearance in the movie, but all their efforts went in vain.
