Alia Bhatt recently returned yesterday from her Maldives vacation with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. The actress took to Instagram today and wrote that she would be helping in amplifying COVID-19 resources. She wrote, "It is a time of great uncertainty. Infrastructure and information are the need of the hour. We are limited in terms of what we can do for infrastructure. But we can do our bit to identify and amplify relevant information."
The actress added, "I'm happy to be working along with Faye D'Souza, who is helping us to identify the information and both of us will amplify in whatever best way we can. We hope this helps. Take care. Stay safe. #Circle0fHope."
The actress also shared a list of Mumbai COVID-19 helpline numbers.
It can be recalled that Ranbir tested positive for Coronavirus in March. A few weeks later, Alia also tested positive. The two left for the Maldives after testing negative.
India is amid a horrific second wave of the pandemic. There is a shortage of beds and oxygen in many parts of the country. In the last few days, over 3 lakh cases are being recorded every day.
Ranbir and Alia are supposed to marry after Brahmastra's release. A source told BollywoodLife earlier, "Indian weddings are like festivals and the prep doesn't get over till the last minute. The family may have begun the preparations, but there is no shaadi happening this year. Also, the Indian audience still gets excited about stars dating, and believe it or not, it does add buzz to a film's release. So, neither Ranbir or Alia are keen to dampen the buzz of their own movie after having invested so much of time and effort into Brahmastra as once couples get married, our audience tends to lose interest in their relationship. So, they're not likely to be a wedding until after Brahmastra releases."
