Iconic rock band Queen is set to bring its fan, of whom there are too many to count across varied generations, a never-seen-before, epic 50-part web series, titled Queen the Greatest, on its official YouTube channel in celebration of the band completing 50 glorious years. Queen had first formed in 1971, including original band members Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano deceased), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals) and John Deacon (bass retired), before launching its eponymous debut album two years later, followed by a string of chart-topping albums for the next ten years or so before fading away after Freddie Mercury contracted AIDS. Brian May and Roger Taylor continue to do concert tours with two new members.

Declaring the web series, an announcement on Queen's official website read; "Beginning March 19th and continuing weekly through to March 2022, Queen YouTube will take Queen fans on a unique and remarkable journey a chance to revisit some of the band's most iconic moments and discover some aspects of the story we didn't know. Celebrating key moments in Queen's history the weekly clips series will remind us why Queen and their music continue to be loved across the world. The clips that are a part of this 50-week series will be presented in chronological order from Queen's earliest shows at London's Rainbow and Odeon through vast arenas across the entire world on a journey culminating with the band's latest record-setting achievements with Adam Lambert."
Among other things, the main content that'll be featured in Queen the Greatest is expected to revolve around their concert footage, backstage access, stories behind some of Queen's biggest hits as also some erstwhile unreleased footage from the band's inexhaustible archives.
