While the star recently flied to Ayodhya for the shooting of Ram Setu, the latest reports suggest that he is reuniting with Jolly LLB 2 helmer Subhash Kapoor for his next. A source close to the development told PinkVilla, "Akshay is in talks to reunite with his Jolly LLB 2 director, Subhash Kapoor. The two have had multiple meetings over the last month, and are eager to collaborate on the film. It's a typical Subhash Kapoor film, and in a space that Akshay fits the best. More details on the subject, genre and title are awaited."
On the professional front, Akshay Kumar is currently gearing up for the release of Sooryavanshi, which will arrive on April 30. Sharing the release date, the makers shared a statement, which reads, "Sooryavanshi is an experience that we have created for you with over a year of dedication and hard work, and the response we received for its trailer was nothing less than electrifying and made it clear that this film truly belongs to its audience...We have been as excited as you are to present the film to you and your family, but due to the recent outburst of the COVID 19 (Coronavirus), we, the makers, have decided to postpone the release of your film Sooryavanshi, keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience. The film also features Katrina Kaif, Jaaved Jaaferi, Gulshan Grover, Kumud Mishra, Abhimanyu Singh, Vivan Bhatena and Sikander Khan, with special appearances from Ajay Devgn as Singham and Ranveer Singh as Simmba.
