Last year's sleeper hit crime thriller web series, Undekhi, had got a massive response from the audience during the lockdown which was acclaimed afar for its intense storyline. Undekhi season 1, which was directed by Ashish R. Shukla, starred Surya Sharma, Harsh Chhaya, Abhishek Chauhan, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Anchal Singh. Undekhi, is based on actual events and represents how the wealthy, strong and privileged in society feel they can do whatever they want and others who are weak can't stand for themselves, keep being tortured and nothing changes. Well, after the way the show ended and the following it garnered, it's no surprise that the makers have finally announced Undekhi 2.0.
In a recent social media post, Sameer Nair, the CEO of Applause Entertainment found a unique way to announced the second season of the series. He has disclosed in a conversation on a social platform with actor Surya Sharma aka Rinku Paaji from Season 1 of Undekhi. Sameer Nair posted a picture and captioned it: "Delectable pork belly at San: Qui @fourseasons @mumbai with @surya_sharma_09 @rohit.philip.758 @applausesocial #undekhi #season2 #comingsoon ."
And this social media post got noticed by the fans of Undekhi and also to the actors of the series. In response to his post, Surya Sharma replied and asked the CEO, "Sameer sir I just saw that you've announced #undekhi season 2 with a picture of delicious pork belly," and then Sameer Nair replied to him, "@surya_sharma_09 sinful, na?" and the conversation goes on. Surya Sharma had played the role of Rinku Paaji in Undekhi, which was a rare villainous character that was simultaneously loathed and loved by the audience. The web series became a sleeper hit, plus season 1 of Undekhi had ended on a cliffhanger, leaving the audience in major suspense and anticipation of what's to come. Now Undekhi 2.0 is is soon arriving to take off from where season 1 left off. The shoot might start by April end this year.
