Thalapathy 65: Here's when Nelson Dilipkumar's Thalapathy Vijay starrer is expected to release in theatres [Exclusive]

Over the past couple of days, we have revealed some interesting inside scoop about Thalapathy 65. BollywooodLife was the first to break it to you that not one, not two, but as many as three top current leading ladies of Indian cinema, Rashmika Mandanna, Kiara Advani or Pooja Hegde, are in the race to star opposite Thalapathy Vijay in his 65th film. Following this, we were again the first to disclose that the shoot of Thalapathy 65 is expected to commence in April this year. And now, we have again spoken to renowned industry tracker and trade analyst Ramesh Bala (he had also provided us the prior two updates) and have exclusively learned when Vijay's next movie is expected to release in theatres.

Apparently, Thalapathy 65 is likely to hit screens in January 2022 as a big Pongal treat for all Vijay fans. "The shooting itself is going to start only in April, I think. So, expecting the trailer and all would be too premature (we had also inquired whether there's any word of when the Thalapathy 65 trailer could arrive) right now, it's too early. I heard that there is one guy, Manoj Parahamsa, who's a popular DOP (cinematographer)...(based on that) the shoot should start in April, I think, and definitely you're looking at six to nine months for the release to happen from there. It'll definitely take nine months, I think, usually, it happens like that. So, it whould be like a Pongal 2022 release or something," said Ramesh Bala.

Opening up earlier on the heroine of Vijay's Thalapahty 65 and when the makers are likely to drop her name, he had disclosed, "I know they're looking at three heroines, Rashmika Mandanna, Pooja Hegde and Kiara Advani, and I think they have finalised one. Usually, they finalise it (the lead actress) very close to the shooting date or even if they finalise it (earlier), they only announce it close to when the shooting begins, that's how they operate."

Thalapathy 65 will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamavu Kokila fame. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, popular for his roles in Bollywood, but having also tasted success in Kollywood with Rajinikanth's Petta, is touted to have been zeroed in as the main antagonist of the film.
