The trailer launch of Mumbai Saga was held today. As we know, the film has a starry star cast of John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar and others. The movie is based on the gang wars that dominated the streets of Mumbai in the 1990s. At the press conference, the cast took on a number of questions from the press. Handsome hunk John Abraham is known to somewhat shy on social media. He does not tweet frequently nor does he keep on posting a lot of stuff on Instagram. He also has a lot of clarity that he is a mass actor.
John Abraham gave his take on social media trends at the launch and it is quite interesting. He said, "I'm scared to trend on social media. If you trend you're a joke. We're too worried about critics and cater to a small audience in a dance theatre. Films should be for the masses, a universal audience." We wonder if the handsome hunk took a dig at some actresses who are trending almost daily on social media. In a way he is right that people hardly take them seriously nowadays. So, was it a cryptic remark by the macho star?
John Abraham has a couple of big projects in his kitty. He is playing the antagonist in Pathan that has Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the main role. It seems the actor's role in Mumbai Saga is far different from that of Manya Surve in Shootout at Wadala. Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta is known as a specialist when it comes to making movies around Mumbai's underworld. The shoot of the film had resumed as the lockdown got lifted. A part of it has been shot in Ramoji Film City in Telangana. Bhushan Kumar and Ekta Kapoor have bankrolled the project.
