We have often seen Kapil Sharma asking for a role in films from his guests on The Kapil Sharma Show. The ace comedian made his acting debut in Abbas-Mustan's 2015 film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, which became a hit among the audience. He then went on to produce his 2017 film Firangi, wherein he played the lead role. But what we all didn't know until now that Kapil had refused to work with Anil Kapoor in nearly four films.
When Anil Kapoor came to promote his web film AK Vs AK, which released on Netflix a few days ago, he asked Kapil to explain why he rejected his film offers. "I have offered you so many films, you turn them down. Why?" To which, Kapil replied, "I was approached for 24 series (TV show featuring Anil), I was so happy, but we were starting our new show at that time." Anil reacted in sarcasm, "Then you did the right thing by not accepting the show."
Kapil then revealed that Anil had asked him to make Woh Saat Din again, to which, Anil again reminded Kapil that he had refused to work in Mubarakan and Priyadarshan's Tez as well. Kapil joined his hands before Anil and said, "Sir, please continue offering me good projects."
To this, Anil replied, "You know I do supporting roles, character roles, father roles these days. If there is a role of your father or brother, tell me." To which, Kapil added, "Both our eyes get shut when we laugh, we will even look like father and son. But I am afraid that you may be signed on for the role of the father and I may be the one looking like the father on screen."
It remains to be seen if Kapil Sharma and Anil Kapoor will work together in a film in the near future.
