Make money online using apps

Crowdsourcing is flourishing, especially as the global COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage on. And fortunately for people especially the tech-savvy ones this activity is being monetized.

Take Google for example. The internet giant recently rolled out in India a new app, called Task Mate, that allows users in the country the get rewarded with a bit of cash for completing various simple tasks. The app, which is also available in Kenya, is still in beta testing and only users with a referral or invitation code can get access to the service.

Register, earn, redeem

Task Mate users can do a lot of "simple" tasks on the app. These tasks are posted by businesses from around the world, and ranges from taking photos of shop fronts or nearby restaurants, to answering surveys and other questionnaires, and even transcribing or translating text to local language.

Payments vary on the task, according to Android Authority. Ten transcriptions, for instance, can go for $0.50, while recording 10 spoken sentences will let a user earn $0.20. A word of warning, though: some tasks will require specific "skill sets."

A user is paid in local currency once the company approves the completed task. All Task Mate users are required to open an account with a third party payment processor, and cash out their earnings via the linked e-wallet or Google payment partner in the app.

"You get tasks based on your performance, which includes factors such as your accuracy and whether you have previously violated any of our policies," Task Mate's support page stated. "When your performance increases of pending tasks are reviewed, you get new tasks. When a requester needs more work done and adds them to the platform, you should find more tasks.

Check the news, earn coins

Google's Task Mate may still be in beta, but it already opens doors to a lot of possibilities for monetizing crowdsourcing and content distribution in general. In the future, users can get rewarded for day-to-day tasks such as checking out the latest news and updates, keeping track of live sports betting like cricket and kabaddi, or even perusing sites for best online roulette 2020.

India.com, parent site of BollywoodLife, is already offering its readers the opportunity to earn and redeem "coins." Users only need to register with India.com, and they can already get access to its network of 23 websites across nine languages. Once there, users have a chance to earn coins by reading, commenting and sharing BollywoodLife content ranging from hot scoops and gossips, to exclusive interviews, and event updates from the entertainment world to their relatives and friends. They can also redeem rewards and offers after signing up to the network.

In addition to Task Mate, Google also has the Opinion Rewards app, which offers Play Store credit to users who want to answer questions about the internet giant's products. According to the internet company, "Complete short surveys while standing in line, or waiting for a subway. Get rewarded with Google Play or PayPal credit for each one you complete. Topics include everything from opinion polls, to hotel reviews, to merchant satisfaction surveys."
