Did Thalapathy Vijay's Master affect the business of Ravi Teja's Krack at the box office? Director Gopichand REACTS

After the lockdown period of more than eight months, government gave the permission to re-open the cinema halls with 50 per cent capacity. And first Indian films, which arrived for the entertainment were Ravi Teja's Krack and Thalapathy Vijay's Master and they turned out to be box office winners. Though a certain section of audience do felt that Master has impacted the business of Krack and now the director of Ravi Teja starrer has reacted to it and told Zoom Digital, "Even we go so many offers from OTT platforms, but I and my hero were very stubborn that it will be released in the theatre only. When the theatres open, we will come that time only we had decided."

The filmmaker said that the film's performance has exceeded his expectations and added, "But after releasing our film, we didn't expect this much crowd coming to the theatre to watch movies. Even in its 50% occupancy, the film is the highest collection and the biggest hit for Ravi Teja's career. And that is really really very big news." Talking about the impact of Master on Krack, he asserted, "In the festive season, people will watch three to four films. They will like to watch different films, so that way there's no impact. People will definitely watch 2-3 films in those days."

Speaking about scripting Krack, he replied, "Actually, I took some time for this script and wanted to keep a realistic approach. That is why there was a lot of homework for this and the film would have released earlier if not for the pandemic, so that's why one whole year was gone."

Produced under the banner of Saraswathi Films Division, Krack also features Shruti Haasan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Samuthirakani in key roles. So, have you watched this film? Tweet and let us know @bollywood_life.
