The couple is set to welcome their baby in January next. The Indian skipper, who is taking paternity leave, said in the conference, "The decision was made before the selection meeting that I will be flying back before the first Test. It was purely based on the fact that there was a quarantine period in both ways. I wanted to be back in time to be with my wife for the birth of our first child. It is very, very special and a beautiful moment in our lives and that was the reason for my decision that was communicated to the selectors."
Talking to Vogue, Anushka Sharma spoke about the initial phase of her marriage and said, "People assume when I'm visiting Virat or when he is visiting me that it's a holiday, but it's really not. One person is always working." She added, "In fact, during the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 days together. Yes, I actually calculated.
