After U Me Aur Hum and Shivaay, Ajay Devgn is donning the director's hat for the third time for his upcoming venture Mayday, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh. While the film is set to go on floors this month in Hyderabad, actress Angira Dhar, who is seen in Love Per Square Foot and Commando 3, has come on board to play a pivotal role in the film. As per the Mid-Day report, she will portray the character of a lawyer in the movie.
The actress confirmed the news and told the tabloid, "(I am) thrilled and excited to share the screen with the true legends of our film industry - Amitabh and Ajay sir. Mayday is going to be one hell of a ride. Can't wait to be directed by Mr Devgn himself!" Rakul, who came on board in the last month, shared her excitement and said, "I have worked with Ajay sir in the past and extremely thrilled to be working with him yet again as his co-pilot in a film where he is not just my co-star but director too:) When I decided to be an actor like all the other aspiring actors I had a dream to work with Mr. Bachchan and I am so glad that with this film my dream to share screen space with him will come true."
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn will be next seen Bhuj: The Pride Of India, which will stream on Disney Hotstar. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar and others in pivotal roles. Set during the Indo-Pak war of 1971, it narrates the tale of IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik. For those unaware, Vijay Karnik was in-charge of the Bhuj Airport during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt plays the character of Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari, who helped the army during the war. While Nora Fatehi will play an Indian spy named Heena Rehman, Sonakshi Sinha will be seen as a social worker named Sunderben Jetha Madharparya. So, are you excited for Mayday?
