Bharti Singh and her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, were arrested a couple of days ago on drug-related charges by the Narcotics Control Bureau ) NCB after a small quantity of cannabis was found at their residence, which they admitted to having used before. While varying reactions to this have appeared both on social media and entertainment news channels, a Twitter user recently decided to drag Kapil Sharma, Bharti's colleague on The Kapil Sharma Show, into it by going as far as suggesting that he , too, may soon get arrested on similar charges.

Kapil, unfortunately, lost his cool and resorted to fat-shaming to hit back at the troll. "Pehle apne size ki shirt silwa mote (Fatty, first get yourself a shirt that fits)," replied the ace comedian. He later deleted the tweet.
Comedian Raju Srivastava, who worked with Bharti Singh in Comedy Circus and other shows, opened up about her arrest in Hindustan Times. "Usko dekh ke kabhi nahi laga ki drugs leti hogi (She did not look like she consumed drugs). I had attended her wedding too. I would get curious as to how her friends, like Sunil Grover, Krushna (Abhishek), could dance all night, not sleep, and then the next day again have fun and dance. I would think why don't they feel the need to sleep, and yes, I know they are younger than me, maybe that's why they have the energy. Lekin ab har cheez pe doubt jaa raha hai jabse news aayi hai (But ever since this news came out, I am beginning to doubt everything)," he said.
Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa were arrested by the NCB after cannabis were seized from their apartment in Andheri, Mumbai, following a tip off from a drug dealer. The former was arrested on Saturday, 21st November, while her husband was taken into custody the following day. Both were granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Monday, 23rd November, on a bond of Rs 15,000 each.
