On Tuesday, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge completed 25 years of its release. The film is considered a cult movie that set new records on romance, Bollywood jodis, box office and more. The movie has a massive fanbase, separate from that of Shah and Kajol's fans. On their 25th release anniversary, fans had a meltdown on Twitter as made it a trend on social media, showering the cast and crew with adulation and love. However, there are some who are not a big fan of the movie.
It so happened that a Twitter user listed down a few problematic behaviour of Raj aka Shah Rukh Khan in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. "Raj does the following to Simran: 1. Lie that he raped her as a joke 2. Tears her clothes in public (accidentally, but who pulls a woman by the back of her dress anyway?) 3. Forces her to dance, and in the process gropes her and feels up her bare back Why do women love creeps?," The Twitter user wrote. Sharing the same, Swara Bhasker also criticised the character saying, "Sadly u r are right.. I mean abt what all Raj does.. This is precisely the power of #Bollywood right? It makes stalking seem romantic. And we all are influenced by it - sometimes in the form of nostalgia & sometimes despite our own best intent. We all need to learn & change :) :)," Check out her tweet here:

However, the lead actress, Kajol has the only nice things to say about it. "DDLJ is the kind of film where it's the characters that people fall in love with more than where it is based or anything like that. Everybody wants this love story of a rebel and a conservative to work. Everybody believes that in an ideal world, it would work," she said in an interview with PTI.
