Popular Marathi filmmaker Nagraj Manjule, who is known for making films like Fandry and Sairat, is making his Bollywood debut with Jhund. In this sports drama, Amitabh Bachchan is essaying the role of Vijay Barse, a Nagpur-based retired sports teacher who starts a slum soccer movement.

Rumi Jaffery's Chehre is a mystery thriller, which also stars Kriti Kharbanda, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Dritman Chakroborthy and Raghubir Yadav with Annu Kapoor in key roles. Big B earlier shared his look from the film, in which we see him in a suit, muffler and a woollen cap in a thick and long beard tied in the end.
Brahmastra
Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure drama, which is made on the lavish budget and is the first part in trilogy. It features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni, with a special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. Big B has collaborated with Ranbir for the first time. The cinematic icon earlier praised Ranbir in an interview, saying, "His face is God's blessing. He doesn't seem to make any effort to convey emotions, whereas I've to constantly struggle to express myself and ask the Director to help me." Brahmastra is produced by Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios.
Untitled project with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone
As an advance gift to his fans, Amitabh Bachchan signed Deepika Padukone and Prabhas starrer untitled pan-India film recently. The sci-fi will be directed by Mahanati helmer Nag Ashwin and is reportedly based on the plot of time travel.
