This might be great news for Shahid Kapoor and Sujoy Ghosh fans. According to a pinkvilla report, they are uniting for a film. There are not many details about the project yet. A source told the publication that Shahid and Sujoy have been speaking about a potential collaboration for a while now and things seem to have fallen in place. The source added that Shahid has liked a script and if all goes as planned, the film will go on floors this year itself.
It is believed that Shahid was waiting for the right script after Jersey and was not happy with the films being offered to him. He even rejected two films of Karan Johar.
While his fans are waiting for the release of Jersey, reports suggest that he is set to play the character of Mahabharat's Karna in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's next. The actor will do a lot of prep for the mythological drama and the makers are planning to roll the film in early 2022. The film will be made on a large scale and will release in 2023.
Talking about Jersey, the actor had said that it took him some time to decide what to do next after Kabir Singh. But the minute he saw Jersey, he knew he wanted it to be my next. Said Shahid, "It's a wonderful, inspiring, and personal human journey that I connected with deeply.''

It is directed by Gowtham Tinnanauri and produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju. The film also features Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in key roles. The film originally starred Nani, Sathyaraj and Shradhha Srinath in the lead roles.
