Though the cameo appearance of Salman Khan alongside Shah Rukh brought masses to the theatres, the fans were disappointed with the story. It is being said that Shah Rukh Khan imposed a sabbatical on himself and gave a lot of thought before selecting his next, which is the Siddharth Anand directed Pathan that has Deepika Padukone as the female lead. Now, like every one of us, Shah Rukh is also staying home. The King of romance is waiting for the pandemic to vanish from the face of Earth too. However, he has been utilizing his free time in a better and exciting (for fans) way. Yes, you read that right.
According to our sources, Shah Rukh Khan has been finalizing a few OTT projects. Before you jump the gun, let us tell you that Shah Rukh is not making his OTT debut as an actor as yet, but this is about production. The actor has been lining up some exciting projects that will be produced under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment. For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan's production house has already ventured into the OTT space where it produced Emraan Hashmi's Bard of Blood and Betaal, both of which received a phenomenal response from the audience. Red Chillies Entertainment also produced Class of '83 starring Bobby Deol. Those who know SRK will vouch for the fact that he is not just an actor par excellence but also a man with great business sensibilities. And it looks like Shah Rukh is all set to make the most of the OTT wave that has content consumers hooked.
So, don't be surprised if, by the end of the year 2021, Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment drops a slate of OTT releases coming on your favourite platforms. But the cherry on the cake would be if King Khan announces that he would make his OTT debut with one of his home productions, don't you think? Well, we sure hope so, fingers crossed.
Meanwhile, apart from Pathan, Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo appearance in Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Brahmastra. Reportedly, he has another cameo appearance in Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha and then in Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif's Tiger 3.
