Rakesh Roshan working on a film with Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor? – the filmmakers reveals

In a recent interview, Rakesh Roshan who has been a very dear friend of late actor Rishi Kapoor expressed his desire to see his friend's son, Ranbir Kapoor and his son, Hrithik Roshan in a film together. It was legendary actor Rishi Kapoor's first death anniversary yesterday and Rakesh Roshan opened up on his bond with the 102 Not Out actor and also revealed about making a film with Ranbir and Hrithik. In an interview with Times of India, the Koi Mil Gaya helmer revealed he had visited Neetu Singh, Ranbir and Riddhima after Rishi Kapoor's demise. He said, "Yes, my wife Pinkie and I did go. We met Neetu, Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima. And we didn't make the ambience gloomy. We were there for 2 to 3 hours and we reminisced Rishi. I kept telling Ranbir my stories with Rishi when we were young. I can never forget the outstation family holidays we took- both Hrithik and Ranbir were with us; they were kids then. I wish to see Hrithik and Ranbir together in one film."

When prodded on as to why doesn't he make a film with the Super 30, Sanju actors, he said, "Well, I don't have anything concrete to cast them immediately. For now, even the plans of 'Krrish 4' are on hold. Let COVID get over and then we shall see." Talking about Rishi Kapoor's death anniversary, yesterday, we saw everyone from the Bollywood industry giving him tributes. Rishi Kapoor passed away after battling cancer for over two years. He had been hospitalized after he had complained of breathing issues. Days after his admissions, he passed away.

Earlier, after the Amar Akbar Anthony actor's demise, Rakesh Roshan had said that he [Rishi Kapoor] shouldn't have gone for an outdoor shoot for Sharmajee Namkeen in February 2020. When asked whether he still maintains his stance, the filmmaker said, "In hindsight, let me say that jo hona hota hai woh toh hota hi hai (Fate cannot be changed). But yes, Rishi had asked me before leaving for the shoot outside Mumbai. I told him to avoid it, but he said that the film's shooting had got stuck and he needed to be present there."

On the work front of Hrithik Roshan, the actor has Krrish 4 which is in the developmental stage. He was last seen in War which released in 2019 and was one of the biggest hits of the year. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Sanju in 2018. He has Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shah Rukh Khan to name a few. He also has Shamshera which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor.
