Bigg Boss Malayalam season 3 hosted by Mohanlal has been suspended temporarily. The crew was shooting for the show at EVP Film City in Chembarambakkam, Chennai, despite the government's ban on film and television shootings. Hence, the set was sealed by a team of officials led by Thiruvallur Revenue Divisional Officer Preethi Parkavi on May 19 at around 8 pm. This news came as a shock for everyone. Preethi Parkavi, Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruvallur spoke about this in an interview with TNM. She said that they got information that food was being taken inside the film city. So they inspected the place yesterday evening. They found out that there were seven contestants and 10 technicians inside filming Bigg Boss Malayalam. All the contestants were evicted and the film city was sealed around 8 pm on Wednesday.
She also said that although positive cases haven't been reported so far, six members from the crew tested positive for the coronavirus last month. The district officials, the food and other supplies provided to the crew from outside, might have been the cause behind six members contracting the virus. Earlier, the President of Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI), RK Selvamani, had announced that all work related to production and post-production of movies and television serials has been halted till May 31. For now, the Bigg Boss Malayalam contestants have been shifted to a private hotel. The latest season premiered on February 14 with 14 contestants.
Manikuttan, Dimpal Bhal, Anoop Krishnan, Rithu Manthra, Ramzan, Sai Vishnu, Noby Marcose and Kidilam Firoz are the contestants left now and are playing to win the Bigg Boss Malayalam season 3 winner's title. Coronavirus cases are growing once again and many people have lost their lives. Many celebrities have tested positive for COVID-19 and the vaccination process has also become a bit difficult.
