Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu Kaka is not seen in the show since a few days. Due to the pandemic, he has not been able to shoot since a year. He was last seen in the show in March where the track showed Natukaka in his village, talking to Jethalal over the phone. Now, the shoot of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's shoot has been halted just like other shows due to the lockdown. Ghanshyam Nayak in an interview with ETimes spoke about waiting for his return in the show. He said that it has been a month since he hasn't shot for any scene and that there is no clarity as to when my track will start as the shooting has halted for now.
He also said that the makers haven't taken any decision to shift base but he feels the makers will bring back his character soon. He was also asked how as a senior actor he is coping in the current pandemic times. He said, "It is very tough. I have been at home and my family also insists that I don't step out at all. But, I am dying to work and get back on the sets. How long will I live like this in isolation and away from my work? It is tough for senior actors because of the virus. I do understand the safety protocols for senior actors, but my mind and body needs to get up and work."
He also shared whether Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah set will shift somewhere else as there is a lockdown in Maharashtra. He said, "That depends on the makers. As of now, I am not aware if the set will relocate or not. I am hoping that I will start shooting for Taark at Film City soon."
