Shaadi Mubarak: Manav Gohil tests POSITIVE for COVID-19; writers begin working on a few parallel tracks

Coronavirus is spreading like a wildfire and once again it seems the world is going to stop. Many television and film actors have tested positive for coronavirus and the latest one to join the list is Shaadi Mubarak actor Manav Gohil. Yes, the actor who plays KT on the show has tested positive. A source close to Shaadi Mubarak told ETimes that the test of the entire cast was conducted last week as part of the regular exercise during COVID-19 which is followed on the set. However, the lead actor Manav Gohil tested positive for COVID-19 and he immediately quarantined himself. He does not have any symptoms, fortunately.

The source also added that the makers aren't worried about Manav's absence as they have decent amount of episodes shot with him and female lead, Rati Pandey. However, a few parallel tracks will be worked out to manage Manav's absence from the show. Producers of the show, Shashi and Sumeet Mittal shared, "Actor Manav Gohil who is an integral part of the TV show Shaadi Mubarak has tested positive for COVID-19. As soon as the symptoms were detected, he received medical help and has quarantined himself. Immediately thereupon the entire cast & crew were isolated and tested. The BMC is informed and the sets will be fumigated and sterilized as per the protocol. We are constantly in touch with the entire team as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all measures prescribed by the authorities are being adhered to."

Last year as well the shoot of the show was stopped as Rajeshwari Sachdev tested positive for COVID-19. However, she had shot a few episodes from home. The show took a five-year leap recently and the leads, KT and Preeti have been separated.
