Salman Khan's Radhe to release on ZEE5
Salman Khan's Radhe was scheduled for a 2020 release, but the pandemic-induced lockdown last year led to its delay. After the lockdown was relaxed a little last year, the makers completed the filming. It was announced that this EID, Salman Khan would bring Eidi for everyone with Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. But this seems like a double Eidi now as Radhe will not only have a theatrical but also an OTT release. Radhe will be available for streaming on ZEE5 and other DTH operators' pay-per-view platforms. Yes, you read that right.
Ajay Devgn's web series debut
On Tuesday, superstar Ajay Devgn announced his web series debut with Rudra The Edge of Darkness. It will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar VIP. It is said to be inspired by the hit British series Luther. Releasing a statement, Ajay Devgn said, "My attempt has always been to tell unique stories and work with good talent. The idea is to raise the bar of entertainment in India. The digital world excites me, and I am looking forward to working with Applause and BBC to bring this series to life on Disney+ Hotstar VIP. Rudra - The Edge of Darkness is a compelling and highly intriguing story and I can't wait to begin this new journey! Playing a cop on screen is not new to me, but this time the character is more intense, complex and dark. What drew me most to his persona, is that he is possibly the greyest character you may come across in recent times."
Bandish Bandit's actor Amit Mistry's demise
In a shocking turn of events, Amit Mistry, popular for projects like Yamlala Pagla Deewana, Bandish Bandits, Kya Kehna, Shor In The City and Ek Chalis Ki Last Local and others passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was just 47. Several colleagues and admirers of Amit offered condolences including Dilip Joshi, Kubbra Sait, Jacqueline Fernandes, Karan V Grover, Kiku Sharda, Genelia D'Souza, Sumeet Raghavan, Sumeet Vyas, Ajay Singh Chaudhary Karanvir Bohra, Swanand Kirkire and more.
Sidharth Shukla-Sonia Rathee's Broken But Beautiful 3 release
Well, no confirmations have come as of yet and fans of Sidharth Shukla are dying to see their favourite actor on screens again. His chemistry in pictures and various stills from the shoot of Broken But Beautiful 3 have already created ample buzz. As per the latest reports, the makers are eyeing for mid-May release. A source had informed SpotboyE.com, "The shoot for the series is over and currently it is in post-production. If all goes well the series will stream by mid-May, 2021 which is next month."
Priyanka Chopra's befitting response to trolls' racist comments on Ramin Bahrani
Writer-director Ramin Bahrani faced a verbal racist attack on the streets of Atlanta. The White Tiger director was doing an interview with American filmmaker Ava DuVernay and the latter asked him to address the issue. Priyanka Chopra who worked with Bahrani was asked to comment on the same. The actress had an amazing response to it. She said, "Asking me about my thoughts on what happened to Ramin is a sign of where we stand today, and the work we have to continue to do. So my question in response is - who belongs here, and who doesn't? Isn't America a melting pot of all people from all backgrounds? The method actor has reportedly gained weight and worked very hard to get the character right on the screens. Sohum Shah will play the role of Lalu Prasad Yadav in the upcoming web series, Maharani.
