Avika Gor pens a heartfelt note, revealing how her family emerged from COVID-19 safely, but says, 'Do everything to stop the spread ASAP'

India has been ravaged by the coronavirus pandemic. The everyday cases are above 3.5 lakh, and it is expected to rise in the coming 15 days of May. Balika Vadhu actress Avika Gor has written a long note on social media. She has revealed that her family members tested positive for the virus, and it was a scary experience. She said that everyone should do whatever is possible to control the spread. India is struggling right now as people are dying from lack of beds, oxygen and medicines like Remdesivir. Plus, the politics, black-marketing and wrong messaging is not helping matters.

Avika Gor wrote, "It's scary out there. Almost 2 lakh people have lost their lives according to the official figures, and we all know the real numbers are at least 4-5 times. More than 17 million(officially) have been impacted by the virus in our country, a lot of whom might suffer some health consequences in the future. Our healthcare system is overburdened and there isn't much that can be done about it right now. All we can do is support each other in whatever way possible and do everything to stop the spread ASAP."

She also told people to not hesitate from sharing resources on social media. She said number of followers was inconsequential. Avika Gor said, "So, when you see a request & you think "why should I share this, I only have 200 followers", please think again. One or more of your 200 people could be the savior today. Yes, it's come down to this. We all need to try. My family has gone through the battle, and it wasn't a pleasant feeling. It was scary. I'm glad they survived, but I wouldn't want anyone to go through it."
