Shaakuntalum is one of the most-anticipated films that stars Samantha Akkineni. The actress took to her social media handles to announce the name of the actor who plays Prince Charming in the mythological film. And it is none other than Sufiyum Sujatayum actor Dev Mohan as Dushyant. Yes, the dashing handsome Malayalam actor has been announced as Dushyant in the most beautiful manner. Samatha Akkineni shared the video which is an animation special that begins with deers running around in the forest. Further in the video, we see an animated character of Prince Dushyant and an animated character of Shakuntala. It seems that the prince was out hunting in the forest and came across Shakuntala and was struck by her beauty. Samantha captioned the post saying, "Here's introducing our Prince Charming ... Talking about Shaakuntalam, the mythological epic lover story film will be directed by Rudhramadevi helmer Gunasekhar. Shaakuntalam is based on Kalidasa's epic Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. The music of the film will be composed by Mani Sharma. The film is bankrolled by Neelima Guna under the banner of Gunaa Teamworks. The filming of Shaakuntalam will begin on 20th March.
On the other hand, Samantha has Kaathu Vakula Rendu Vadhal in the pipeline that also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayathara in the lead roles. Apart from that, Sam is set to make her digital debut with The Family Man 2, which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
