There was a time when big stars of just A-list actors would steer clear of the horror genre in Bollywood like it was the plague while the concept of horror-comedy was unheard of in Hindi cinema despite Mehmood saab having delivered a wonderful hit in the sub-genre eons ago called Bhoot Bungla (1965). Things have gradually changed in the last half of the decade or so, with the past two to three years having seen a momentous shift of A-listers eager to dabble in horror, and especially, horror-comedies.
