1. Sayali Kamble
Sayali Kamble is a resident of Mumbai's Tatanagar and has always been appreciated by the judges for her singing. But recently, an old video of her sharing the stage with veteran singer Suresh Wadkar went viral on social media. Soon, people started targetting the show and its makers for lying to their audiences. In the show, Sayali said that there is no television set in her house and she stays in a chawl. She always mentioned that she is the daughter of an ambulance driver who is trying to fulfill her dreams.
2. Sawai Bhatt
Yet another contestant of Indian Idol 12, Sawai Bhatt from Rajasthan told audiences that he belongs to a poor family and spent his entire childhood struggling. People have found old pictures and videos of Sawai on social media wherein he is seen performing live in concerts.
3. Santosh Anand
Lyricist Santosh Anand appeared in an episode of the singing reality show, Indian Idol 12 recently. Singer and judge Neha Kakkar offered 5 lakhs to him as a gift which passed out a wrong message that he needed financial help. Anand said that Neha got emotional and told him to take the money as she is also like his granddaughter.
4. Pawandeep Rajan
Fans have alleged makers of the show are showcasing a fake love angle between two contestants Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal. Fans have said that the makers are deliberately trying to show a love angle to boost their TRPs. In an exclusive interview with BollywoodLife, Pawandeep said that they are just friends like other contestants on the show. He also spoke about the close bond the contestants of this season share.
5. Vishal Dadlani
Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani who is currently seen judging the singing reality show recently got massively trolled for getting facts wrong on 'Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon' song. During the episode, Vishal said that this song was sung by Lata Mangeshkar for Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in the year 1947. But the fact is that the legendary and evergreen singer had sung this song to Nehru in 1963. Vishal apologized for his mistake and tweeted saying "I see a few right-wingers "offended" by my messing up the date of "Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon" being sung to Pt. Nehru. I apologize for my error."
Music composer Anu Malik is back on the sets of the show. This time he will not be the judge but will participate in a 90s special weekend episode along with lyricist Sameer and singer Udit Narayan. In 2019, Indian Idol season 11 Anu Malik had opted out as a judge. Meanwhile, the top 10 contestants of Indian Idol 12 are Anjali Gaikwad, Md. Danish, Ashish Kulkarni, Nachiket Lele, Sayli Kishore Kambli, Nihal Tauro, Shanmukha Priya, Arunita Kanjilal, Sawai Bhatt, and Pawandeep.
