Allu Arjun took to Instragram to share a heartfelt post as he completed 18 years in the film industry. He wrote, "It's has been 18 years since my first film released. I wanted to thank each n everyone who has been a part of my 18 years journey. My heart is filled with gratitude. I am truly blessed for all the love showered over the years. The actor made his debut as an actor with K Raghavendra Rao's 2003 film, Gangotri, and has been a part of several big hits since then. Some of his noticeable films include Bunny, Happy, Desamuduru, Parugu, Arya 2, Vedam, Varudu and Badrinath. He was last seen in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, in which he shared screen space with Pooja Hegde. The film also starred Tabu, Jayaram, Sushanth, Navdeep, Nivetha Pethuraj, Samuthirakani, Murali Sharma, Rajendra Prasad, Sunil, Sachin Khedekar and Harsha Vardhan in key roles.
The actor will next be seen in Pushpa, which is scheduled to release in theatres on August 13, 2021. It marks his reunion with director Sukumar and composer Devi Sri Prasad. The trio has earlier delivered two blockbuster movies: Arya and Arya 2. The film will also star Rashmika Mandanna, who will be sharing the screen space with Allu Arjun for the first time.
In a recent interview to BollywoodLife, his actor brother Sirish Allu spoke about Arjun's Bollywood debut. He said, "That will happen. A lot of them (filmmakers) have approached him and some talks have happened, but I don't think anything exciting or anything that has got him excited has happened. I don't think it will happen till he's so sure that this is 'the film' and this is the best move and the best story to tell. He's probably waiting for that."
