Deepika Padukone is no stranger to trolls. The Padmaavat actress has been at the receiving end of nasty comments on social media on several occassions. This time around, a troll sent abusive DMs to her on Instagram. She decided to call him out loud on social media by sharing the screenshots of the text messages.
She took to her Instagram stories to post the screenshot of the abusive messages she received from a user. Highlighting his messages, Deepika wrote, "Wow! Your family & friends must be soo proud of you." Her befitting reply to the troll has won many hearts on the internet and her fans have been pouring support to her on social media.
Deepika had recently posted a message on mental health awareness wishing to see a world where no life is lost due to mental illness. She posted a picture of her organisation, The Live Love Laugh Foundation, on Instagram on Monday.
Alongside the image, she wrote, "Mental health is a cause that is extremely personal and dear to me. Over the last 5 years, donors, partners, government authorities and our incredible team have all played a crucial role in LiveLoveLaugh's journey, but the greatest impact has been from those who have had a lived experience with mental illness, and their caregivers." She added, "I would like to see a world where no life is lost due to mental illness, and LiveLoveLaugh is committed to delivering on that aspiration."
One of the highest paid actor in India, Deepika, who started her career with Om Shanti Om in 2007, has set up a foundation to create awareness on mental health named The Live Love Laugh Foundation in 2015, which creates awareness about stress, anxiety and depression.
On the work front, Deepika has a busy year ahead. She will be seen in Shakun Batra's upcoming yet-untitled film that also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. She will also be seen in an untitled film with Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas, and she has 83 in line where she features opposite husband Ranveer Singh. She will also unite with Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan for the first time for an action adventure Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand.
