Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are probably reuniting on screen for the fifth time. It looks like the real-life couple is fast becoming one of the 'IT' onscreen couples in Bollywood, too, just like Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha or Dharmendra and Hema Malini before them. After Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and the upcoming, '83, where Deepika Padukone is said to have an extended cameo, the superstar is set to come on board for hubby Ranveer Singh's Cirkus for what is being touted as a special, massy item number.
Cirkus, designed as a masala-comedy, mass entertainer, is being peddled as a modern adaptation of Gulzar's classic Angoor, starring Sanjeev Kumar, Deven Verma, Moushumi Chatterjee and Deepti Naval, is being directed by blockbuster filmmaker Rohit Shetty and also stars Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. The crux of the story dates back to William Shakespeare's classic play, A Comedy of Errors, revolving around mistaken identities.
Earlier, both Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had poured their heart out on the third-year anniversary of their blockbuster, Padmaavat. While the latter had taken to her official Instagram handle and wrote: "3 Years of Padmaavat. Some memories & experiences are difficult to articulate but live in your heart forever. Padmaavat was one such experience. Thank you Sanjay Leela Bhansali for entrusting me with this movie & character of a lifetime...," her husband's post on Instagram went along the lines of... "#3YearsOfPadmaavat. My tryst with the dark side. An unforgettable experience. Thank you Sanjay Sir for making me a part of this spectacular vision. #Khilji #3YearsOfPadmaavat ."
