Bigg Boss 14: Devoleena Bhattacharjee talks about her marriage plans and boyfriend [Exclusive]

Bigg Boss 14 contestant Devoleena Bhattacharjee made news on the show when she said that she is planning to marry soon. People were even more surprised when news came that she might get hitched in 2021 itself. In an EXCLUSIVE chat with BollywoodLife, Devoleena Bhattacharjee said, "I don't know who spread the word that I said 2021. Yes, marriage has been on our minds since some time. We may marry in 2022. I feel marriage is a thing of destiny. The nuptials will happen only when God decides." We probed Devoleena a little bit more about her guy. She said, "He is not from the entertainment industry. He is a very simple person whose priorities in life are very sorted. I am also a very simple girl who leads a normal life."

The actress also spoke about her childhood, which she described rather emotionally on the show. "To be honest, I do not wish to dwell much on that phase of my life. I lost my father quite early. My mom battled her illness to raise three kids. She made sure that all of us got a decent school and college education. We lost one of our siblings. Life for a widowed woman in a small city of Assam was not easy. When Rakhi Sawant spoke of her struggle, I could identify with it. Despite her illness, my mom worked till retirement age."

Elaborating further, Devoleena says, "Life might be little different for a widowed woman in metro cities, but it is a struggle in small-town India. Society was quite regressive at that time when I was a kid. My life has been taught me patience and resilience but yes, I do have anger issues. Rakhi Sawant has faced hardships and is a mature person. There is no fakeness in her but showmanship." The actress says she is focusing on her acting/singing and there are projects on the way.
