During a conversation in one of the recent episodes, when RJs asked the Shakti actress about her relation with husband Abhinav Shukla, she replied, "Soulmates are not two people who shower love on each other but are people who make each other better individuals. We are strong individuals who at every point enhance each other. Abhinav is like the winds beneath my wings. Kabhi Tu aage toh main tere peeche hawa bankar, toh kabhi main aage toh tu mere peeche hawa bankar. Relationships are very important." When asked whether the Bigg Boss house has given their house a second chance, Rubina replied, "Yes, it is 100 percent right. After coming to the Bigg Boss house, my perspective towards this relationship has changed and I have gained confidence. And if we would have not come together, it would have not happened."
Rubina Dilaik had recently grabbed the headlines in the show, when she revealed that Abhinav and her were planning to divorce each other before entering the show. Her Shakti costar Kamya Panjabi said she was shocked to know this and told E Times, "I had no clue about their relationship differences. We weren't best friends, who would meet and chit chat after shooting, but we worked with each other on the show for four years and along with the entire team, she invited us to her house for dinner once. Rubina always used to address Abhinav as 'My husband', which is very cute and I always thought that she was deeply in love with him. We had even discussed and planned how to celebrate Karva chauth. Not once did I get the impression that they had differences I only saw a lot of love between them. It was shocking to hear on the show that they were planning a divorce."
